My name is Chris (aka Jiji to our grandchildren) and I am co-owner with Suzanne in Canungra Creek Fingerlimes. Our journey with finger limes started around 2010 when we decided to plant an orchard on our land at Canungra in the Scenic Rim area of S.E.Qeensland. Our previous careers were in the Veterinary Science industry so quite a new experience for us both.
My interest in food traces back to my mother Nance, who imparted an interest in food and flavour in me from a young age. She was always finding new and interesting recipes from a wide variety of cultures, when that was not a common thing in Australia. When I was young, I didn't realise how lucky we were. You could say food and flavour is part of my DNA.
Plans for my Finger Lime Blog
I plan to pass on what I have learned about finger limes in the last decade. Hopefully you will find my finger lime blog will spark an interest in all things related to finger limes. We have a lot of food pairings which we enjoy regularly at home. This native fruit is truly versatile and a true Australian treasure.
I would love you to add your own recipes and thoughts if you have something to share. Or if you have any questions you would like answered, I will try my best to help.
